Dr. T. Bosse is associate professor in the Dept of Pathology, at the Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC) in the Netherlands, where he combines clinical work with his research within the Female Cancer Centre. He graduated medical school in 2008 at the Amsterdam Medical Centre and did his residency in pathology at the LUMC, followed by fellowships in gynaecological pathology and molecular pathology at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. Dr. Bosse leads a translational research program focused on gynaecological cancers and is lead pathologist for the PORTEC trials.
He is also head of the quality control program for the clinical pathology laboratory. His team has recently published several studies on prognostic and predictive (molecular) biomarkers in endometrial cancer using a pragmatic clinically applicable approach. This work is the bases of a recently opened new trial, PORTEC4a, which is the first trial with molecular profiling as an integral component in gynaecologic cancer.
