ESGO Helga Salvesen Award in Translational Research

ESGO Helga Salvesen Awardee 2017

"It was a great honor  to be recognized for the first ever Helga Salvesen Award for translational science at the ESGO 2017 Congress in Vienna, Austria.
The award carries a tremendous perceived value for me and was particularly inspiring, as I have known Helga personally and collaborated with her on several projects.
I remember Helga as a very dedicated and bright scientist, with a clear focus on translational science.
In the words of Helga:  "true impact in research can only be accomplished when working together" and I couldn't agree more.
The award is a global mark and prestigious achievement and I hope that scientists receiving this honor will continue to improve the care of cancer patients in the spirit of Helga.

The Helga Salvesen Award is a one of a kind experience that I personally will never forget".
