Esra graduated from Koc University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey. During medical school, she also completed the “Gender Studies Certificate Program” at The Center for Gender Studies at Koc University. Moreover, she had various clinical and laboratory internships in Turkey, France, the UK, Australia, the USA, and Germany.
She completed "Postgraduate Certificate in Epidemics and Ethical Global Health" at AUSN, USA. In recognition of her exceptional global service, she was recognized as an International Public Health Ambassador. In 2021, she graduated from Data Science Master program at Koc University.
Currently, she is a MSc in Global Health Candidate at Koc University where her thesis focuses on cervical cancer elimination. She has served as a vice chair of ENYGO Communication and Social Media Committee since 2021.
Felix Boria is an attending physician of the ginecologic oncology division at the University of Navarra (Madrid, Spain) under the mentorship of Dr. Luis Chiva. Before that, he completed his residency program at the University Hospital La Paz (Madrid, Spain).
At that time, he also had the opportunity to do an observership with Dr. Ramirez at MD Anderson (Houston, Texas) for two months. He is currently finishing his PhD at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid about PET/CT and advanced ovarian cancer. His main research interests are surgery in advanced ovarian cancer and quality assurance in surgery for gynecological malignancies.
Dr. Chacón is an Attending Physician of the Gynaecologic Oncology Division at the University of Navarra (Spain). Before that, he undertook a 2-month Gynaecologic Oncology fellowship at the Imperial College with Prof. Christina Fotopoulou (London).
Currently he is completing a PhD evaluating the diagnostic performance of transvaginal ultrasound and tumor markers (CA-125 and HE-4) in the management of indeterminate adnexal masses. His wider research interests include the surgical approach of early-stage cervical cancer as well as the surgical management of advanced ovarian cancer and the use of ultrasound in gynaecologic oncology malignancies.
Dr. Nasser is a senior fellow in gynaecological oncology currently working at one of the largest cancer centres in Europe. Through her varied experience in both Obstetrics and Gynecology in Germany, the United Kingdom and in developing countries, she is always at the forefront of innovative changes in the clinical, research and educational aspects of her field.
After graduating with honors from Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, Dr Bjerre Trent returned to Norway for her internship at Ringerike Hospital and Rennesøy county. She subsequently initiated training in obstetrics and gynecology at Tønsberg and Bærum Hospitals, completing her residency at Oslo University Hospital in 2019.
Dr Bjerre Trent currently holds a position as research fellow in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology, Norwegian Radiumhospital, Oslo University Hospital. She is enrolled in the PhD-program at the University of Oslo and divides her time 50/50 between clinical duties and research. Dr. Bjerre Trent’s research focus is endometrial cancer, specifically oncologic outcomes, quality of life and health system cost after implementation of sentinel lymph node biopsy in intermediate- and high-risk endometrial cancer in the SENSOR-project.
Dr. Bjerre Trent is a member of several national and international societies, and was recently elected the Norwegian national representative to the European Network of Young Gynecologic Oncologists (ENYGO).
Irina Tsibulak was born in Ukraine and graduated in Medicine at the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, in 2015. After completing residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2021, she started the ESGO fellowship at the University Hospital of Innsbruck in January 2022. Currently, she is a visiting fellow at the Imperial College of London under the guidance of Professor Fotopoulou.
