Meet the Surgeons
Mikkel Rosendahl
Rigshospitalet Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark
Dr. Rosendahl and his team will perform ovarian cancer open surgery at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.
Ligita Paskevicitute Frøding
Rigshospitalet Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark
Dr. Frøding will perform vulva cancer open surgery, will show the sentinel node procedure using bimodal tracer ICG-99mTc-Nanocoll in patient with early-stage vulva cancer.
Henrik Falconer
Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden
Assoc. Prof. Falconer will perform a robotic-assisted hysterectomy with BSO and sentinel lymph node mapping for presumed early-stage endometrial cancer using the SP system. An extended range of instruments will be used to allow for better triangulation and tissue traction. Sentinel lymph node mapping is performed with indocyanine green (ICG) injection in the cervix.

In 2024, the daVinci SP was acquired and is used for a variety of indications including endometrial cancer staging.
ESGO Accredited Centres
Both the Gynaecological Oncology Unit of Rigshospitalet and Department of Women’s and Children’s Health of Karolinska University Hospital have obtained accreditation from the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) as a reference centre for the treatment of malignant ovarian neoplasms and recognition as ESGO training centre in gynaecological oncology.
