The Barcelona International Convention Centre, the CCIB, is noted for its state-of-the-art building and cutting-edge architecture. The building, which is part of Barcelona's architectural heritage, was designed by the architect Josep Lluís Matro and places the emphasis on light. The curved metal façade was designed with the landscape in mind. The sculpture suspended from the ceiling in the lobby is reminiscent of the latticework panels in the Arabian souks. It consists of rows of superimposed texts from the science-fiction novel The Drowned World. The project has received numerous awards as it is one of the most technologically advanced buildings in the world. Not all convention centres are lucky enough to have views of the Mediterranean and this makes it a truly unique, special venue.

For that reason majority of materials are purely digital. You will be able to download the Final programme and the supplement of International Journal of Gynaecological Oncology from the congress website to reduce paper waste. We strongly recommend downloading the congress mobile app where you will also find the up-to-date programme, abstracts, ePosters, networking events and other useful information. We also have a commitment to source food locally and donate any leftovers, and reduce plastic supporting material at the congress. We will supply you with a water bottle and you are kindly requested to keep it throughout the congress and refill it.

  • Textbook Platinum Edition

The new ESGO Textbook Edition is designed to follow the ESGO curriculum, thus ensuring a systematical learning experience and an ideal reference for fellows in training.

In this edition, the Textbook topics are associated with QR codes directing to related resources on ESGO's e-Academy portal. The Textbook is up-to-date with the most recent literature in the field, with new chapters and topics that reflect the evolving needs of the community of gynaecological oncologists in training.

Various recognised experts in specific fields have prepared chapters presenting the fundamental knowledge each gynaecological oncologist needs making the new Textbook a must-have for gynaecological oncologists, especially fellows and those at the beginning of their careers.

Attending ESGO 2024 in Barcelona? You can still pre-order your USB copy of the Textbook through the registration form and collect it at the venue in Barcelona.
