Do you enjoy sharing scientific information with a wide audience?
Are you active on social media?
Can you commit to attending all days of ESGO 2026 in Copenhagen?
We are now accepting applications for the ESGO 2026 Congress Social Media Ambassador programme.
Apply to be an ESGO 2026 Congress Social Media Ambassador!
The objective of the Social Media Ambassador programme is to highlight the practice-changing research and discussions taking place at ESGO 2026.
Ideally, the programme will not only raise the profile of ESGO 2026 in gynaecological oncology spaces online but will also increase the ambassadors’ own visibility and voices online.
Posts can be made in English and/or the ambassador’s native language(s).
You are eligible to apply for the Social Media Ambassador role if you:
- Are a current ESGO member
- Have submitted an abstract for ESGO 2026
- Are an active and enthusiastic user of at least one of the following platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, X
Benefits for successful candidates
The five successful applicants will each receive one free registration for the main programme of ESGO 2026 (not including workshops), a ticket to the ESGO networking event on February 28, and a certificate of participation.
They will be given training on how to best cover a live event on social media and will be recognised publicly online for their contributions before and throughout the event.
Selection process
After the application deadline, the ESGO Secretariat will first check eligibility criteria and then score the received applications as a starting point for the final selection.
The final selection will be made by members of the Communication Committee and the social media team of ESGO 2026.
Selections will take into consideration not only the individuals' expertise, qualifications, and attributes but as well how each individual might contribute to the Ambassadors as a collective team.
The ESGO 2026 Social Media Ambassadors will commit to:
- Attending an online training session (or sessions) before the event
- Attending every day of the ESGO 2026 Congress main programme in Copenhagen on February 26–28, 2026.
- Posting reportage (commentary + pictures/video) about the scientific content of the sessions they attend in real time on social media. Each Ambassador will choose at least 3–5 sessions per day of personal or professional interest to attend. Posts can be made in English and/or the ambassadors’ native language.
Each ESGO 2026 Social Media Ambassador agrees to:
- Produce original posts related to ESGO 2026, its scientific content, and the ESGO community.
- Produce at least 3–5 scientific posts a day throughout the congress
- Produce at least 3 posts about the event prior to the Congress
- Write a short bio to introduce themselves and allow ESGO to publish the bio on their social media platforms and website
- Provide a photo and allow ESGO to publish that photo in relation to the Social Media Ambassador role
- Respect a high standard of communication and content
- Produce posts in good faith and without any commercial influence
- Post under their real name
- Allow ESGO to share and promote their posts from the society’s social media channels
- Limit use of artificial intelligence in creating their posts to improving the grammar, spelling or other minor aspects of the content (proper use will be discussed in the training)
The deadline for applications is November 30, 2025 (23:59 CET).
