Getting to La Nuvola: A Quick Guide

La Nuvola, located in Rome’s EUR district, is easily accessible via multiple transportation options. Whether you’re arriving by plane, train, or metro, you’ll find convenient routes to reach the Convention Center.

  • From Fiumicino or Ciampino Airports: Take trains, buses, or the metro for seamless travel to EUR Fermi station, just a short walk from the venue.

  • From Termini or Tiburtina Stations: Metro Line B provides direct connections.

How to reach the Venue: La Nuvola

From the Airport

  • From Leonardo Da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport take the Leonardo Express train to Termini station. The journey takes 32 mins, € 14 per ticket. Then take metro Line B to EUR Fermi.
  • From G.B. Pastine-Ciampino Airport take a bus 720 to Laurentina metro stop (Line B). From there take a bus 31, 762 or metro (1 stop) to EUR Fermi.

By Metro

  • From Termini Station take the metro line B towards Laurentina.
  • Get off at EUR Fermi (10 stops away from Termini Station).
  • Single ticket costs € 1,50 and is valid for 100 minutes, includes all Metro lines, buses, and trams. Allows transfers across Metro lines without exiting turnstiles.

By Taxi

  • From Fiumicino Airport - estimate journey time to La Nuvola: 20 minutes, average cost € 35-40 (to city centre € 55; 50 minutes)
  • From Ciampino Airport estimate journey time to La Nuvola: 20 minutes, average cost € 30-35 (to city centre € 40; 30 minutes)
  • From City Centre – estimate journey time to La Nuvola: 20 minutes, average cost € 20-25

Quick Guide to Gemelli University Hospital

From Fiumicino or Ciampino Airport:

  • Train Option: Take the Leonardo Express train from Fiumicino to Termini Station, then switch to Metro Line A to Battistini. Then take a short bus ride to Gemelli.

The journey takes around 80 minutes, depending on traffic.

Getting from Gemelli University Hospital to La Nuvola: 

  • Bus: Walk to the nearest bus stop and take Line 146 to Battistini metro stop or 446/980 to Cornelia metro stop
  • Metro: Change at Termini to Line B, get off at EUR Fermi

The trip should take about 75 minutes, depending on traffic.

Getting to the Vatican: A Quick Guide

The Vatican City contains religious and cultural sites such as St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican Apostolic Library, Paul VI Audience Hall, and the Vatican Museums.

Due to the Jubiliee, the area will be closed and monitored. To reach the Vatican, use the metro and then walk to reach the sites (approx. 15 minutes).

  • St. Peter's Square is about 15 minute walk
