Abstract Submission
Yes, it is expected that at least one author of the abstract attends the Congress to present the work and answer questions. Only abstracts of registered participants will be scheduled in the scientific programme.
All abstracts can only be submitted via the online form until October 31, 2025, 23:59 CET.

Yes. Each author can submit up to a maximum of 3 abstracts.
However, please do not submit the same abstract for an oral and a poster presentation.
Yes. The number of authors per abstract is limited to 30.
Unfortunately not. The registration fee is set according to your registration type.
All presenting authors are expected to register by the Early registration deadline on December 18, 2025 to ensure publication of the abstract.
Abstract Notification and Changes
Only after all abstracts have been reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee will notifications be sent to the abstract submitters.
Every effort is made to conclude this process within two months after the abstract submission deadline, meaning by December 15, 2025.
You may enter the abstract submission system with your username and password and make changes to your abstract until the submission deadline date (October 31, 2025).
No abstract changes will be accepted after this date. Updated information may be presented in the presentation.
You can only make changes before the submission deadline (October 31, 2025).
If any changes need to be done afterwards, please refer to the deadlines and contact jakub.novak@esgo.org.
Yes, if accepted for presentation, you can upload a new version of your video to be displayed in the Cinema Viewing Area.
Presentation Formats
If your abstract is selected for an oral presentation, the presenting author specified at the submission will be provided with instructions for the presentation at one of the oral communication sessions at the Congress.
Further details and instructions on each presentation type will be sent with your acceptance letter.
Only authors of abstracts selected to be presented at Best Oral sessions will be requested to submit presentation slides via the online submission portal by February 10, 2026.
These slides will be made available to the discussant to summarise the presentations within the session and put it in a wider perspective.
No. However, selected posters will have the opportunity to present the poster during the Poster Walks session, scheduled on Friday February 27, 2026.

Yes. All accepted abstracts will be published in an online supplement to the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer.
All accepted ePosters will be available online and via the mobile app before (when embargo ends), during, and after the congress.
Onsite you can browse the ePosters in the kiosks in the Poster area.
Yes, even “paper” posters should be submitted as ePosters for electronic viewing.
The abstracts will be made available online and via the mobile app on February 16, 2026 at 12:00 when the embargo ends.
No, all authors of oral communication are requested to visit the Speakers’ Ready Room at the venue and deliver the latest version of the presentation onsite, even if previously submitted online (in case of Best Oral sessions).
Unfortunately this year we do not provide any printing service at the venue, therefore please print your poster at home and bring it with you.
All accepted posters will be on display throughout the congress. Authors of selected posters will be requested to attend the Poster Walks session and briefly present the most interesting data in front of their poster (max 3 min).
The session will be moderated by a discussant who will lead the discussion afterwards.
Late-Breaking Abstracts (LBA)
Late-breaking abstracts (LBA) can only be submitted via the online form.
The initial LBA must be submitted by October 31, 2025 as a placeholder (shell) abstract submission and completed by January 15, 2026 during the LBA final data submission period.

No. LBAs will not be accepted unless a shell abstract has been submitted by the submission deadline on October 31, 2025.
The Scientific Programme Committee will make a short review of all submissions and authors will be notified by January 22, 2026.
The embargo ends on the first congress day at 12:00am when the supplement to the International Journal of Gynecological Cancer will be updated with submitted LBAs.
About the Congress
ESGO 2026 will be a face-to-face Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark from February 26-28, 2026. ESGO members will have access to recorded sessions via eAcademy after June 15, 2026.
Yes. The Q&A feature will be available during the majority of sessions at the Congress. It will allow attendees to post their questions via the Congress event app or via microphones in the halls.
Some of the sessions will include online voting via the mobile app.
The congress will be entirely in English to cater to as broad an audience as possible.
However, live captions to see transcribed text in your preferred language will be available for all sessions.
The ESGO 2026 programme will address the latest clinical and scientific developments in gynaecological cancers, with more than 40 sessions, 80+ renowned international experts and over 800 expected posters focusing on a variety of topics driving research, treatment and care forward.

You must register for the Congress in order to attend the workshops. A special fee is applied to all workshops; they are not part of the main programme and therefore charged separately.
All of the workshops are usually sold out before the Congress so we recommend reserving your seat early.
Yes, the Examination will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 in the Crowne Plaza hotel, just minutes from the venue.

No, this meeting is closed for patient advocates. However, several sessions will be open on the topic of patient advocacy, please follow the online programme for details.
These are special sessions, not accredited by CME/CPD credits, which are organised by pharmaceutical companies who pay for their participation.
ESGO has no influence on the programme or speakers and the content presented is solely developed by the companies. The admission is free for congress delegates.
The ESGO 2027 congress will be held from February 25-27, 2027 in London, United Kingdom.
ESGO provides a complimentary childcare for children aged 1-12. Children or other family members are not allowed to enter the exhibition area or scientific sessions.

A fee of €300 is applicable, granting you access to the full congress, Press conference and materials pre and post event.
Non-flash photography using personal devices for strictly personal, social or non-commercial use is permitted if not disruptive to the speaker and/or other session attendees.
Video or audio recording in scientific sessions is not permitted unless authorised by ESGO.
During the congress official photographs will be taken. This serves the purpose of publication on the website and/or on social media platforms of the organiser.

Registration can only be done online via the Online Registration Form. For 2026, Kenes is handling all activities and will be happy to assist you. We invite you to register early until December 18, 2025 to benefit from the best savings.

The pre and post congress programme (workshops) and social activities (Awareness run, Networking event) are not included in the congress registration fee and need to be ordered separately.
Payment of the registration fee can be made by credit card or bank transfer. A separate fee is charged for these transactions.
Yes. A detailed confirmation letter and receipt will be sent to you by email as soon as payment is received and registration is completed.

Please select the method of a bank transfer, the invoice will be sent to you with email confirmation.
The certificate will be automatically emailed to you after the congress.
Yes, you can receive 1 credit for each scientific session at the main congress.
You need to scan your badge for each session you are attending in front of each session hall. The total number of credits will be calculated based on your attendance. After the event, you will receive a link to an evaluation survey which needs to be completed by March 24, 2026. The certificate will be available for download after completion of the survey.
Cancellations received prior to December 18, 2025 will receive a full refund, less a €50 administration fee.
Cancellations received from December 19, 2025 until February 4, 2026 will receive a 50% refund.
There will be no refund on cancellations received on and after February 5, 2026.

An invitation letter is available at the end of your registration process, as soon as payment is received and registration is completed.
Unfortunately, we are unable to send invitation letters directly to consulates. Invitation letters are prepared solely for individuals and are emailed directly to them.
This depends on the date of your cancellation, please refer to the cancellation conditions on the registration page.
Congress Venue and Directions
The congress will take place at the Bella Center Copenhagen, Center Boulevard 5, 2300 Copenhagen, Denmark.
The venue is located close to the airport and easily accessible by train or public transportation (metro).

Take the metro from the airport, M2 line to Christianshavn (6 stops), and then change to M1 line (direction Vestamager). Get off at the 3rd stop ‘Bella Center’.
The journey takes 20 mins and the ticket costs 19 DKK.
Congress participants will get a chance to purchase discounted public transport tickets for the duration of the congress.

Your badge is to be collected at the Registration desk in the congress venue before you attend any session.

No, in line with our sustainability efforts, all provided information will be in electronic version only.
Approximately two weeks prior the congress, you will receive access details for the congress mobile app where all information, incl. updated programme will be available.
