Ursula Catena

- Hysteroscopic Resection of Endometrial Cancer
Dr. Catena will show the ultra-minimally invasive technique for a safe and effective conservative resection of early endometrial cancer/atypical hyperplasia, and the office hysteroscopic technique to perform a guided endometrial biopsy with LNG-IUD in the uterine cavity during follow-up.

- V-note Approach for Low-risk Endometrial Cancer
Dr. Lecuru's fields of interest and expertise are advanced laparoscopy for gynaecological malignancies, robotic surgery and radical surgery for advanced ovarian cancers.
Henrik Falconer
Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden
- Robotic-Assisted Radical Hysterectomy
The live case will showcase a nerve sparing type C1 robotic-assisted radical hysterectomy with bilateral pelvic lymphadenectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy.
The various steps of the procedure will be demonstrated with emphasis on the parametrial structures and considerations for radicality.

- Interval Debulking Surgery + HIPEC
Dr. Scambia will show the challenges of Cytoreductive Surgery after Neo-Adjuvant ChemoTherapy, including prediction of Complete Gross Resection, randomization in the LANCE trial, complex surgical procedures in the upper abdomen, and HIPEC.

Policlinico Gemelli is the teaching hospital of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and a research hospital of the Ministry of Health.
The Gynecological Oncology Unit at Policlinico Gemelli is a highly specialised structure within the Comprehensive Cancer Center, dedicated to prevention, diagnosis, surgical and medical treatment of women affected by gynecological neoplasms.
The surgical activity is organised in different floors and includes 4 fully-integrated Operating Rooms with ICG, 3D and streaming connection for laparoscopy and laparotomy.
One Robotic Surgery Center with 6 robotic platforms of three different brands, and a large Digital Hysteroscopic Clinic, made of 3 operating rooms in which endoscopy and 3D ultrasound are perfectly integrated.
Patients are directed to surgery after a multidisciplinary discussion, with the aim of individualising the treatment, favoring minimally invasive approaches and inclusion in clinical trials.
ESGO Accredited Centre
The Gynaecological Oncology Unit of Policlinico Gemelli has obtained accreditation from the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) as a reference centre for the treatment of malignant ovarian and endometrial neoplasms and recognition as ESGO training centre in gynaecological oncology.
