Patient Advocacy Seminar

Patient Advocacy Seminar is a platform for leaders of patient groups to share & exchange knowledge, foster collaborations and empower themselves with information that will help them tackle the issues they face back home.

At the ESGO 2026 Congress in Copenhagen, the 3-day ENGAGe Patient Advocacy Seminar (PAS) offers a dedicated programme designed especially for patients and patient advocates. The PAS offers expert lectures, updates on the latest research, interactive discussions, and unique networking opportunities. It is the central event where patient advocates can learn, share experiences, and connect with the wider ESGO community.

The Patient Advocacy Seminar is presented in a smaller and more interactive format that allows for open discussion, direct questions, and meaningful exchange with leading experts.

Until now, participation in the seminar has been limited to patients and patient advocates who are ENGAGe members. This year in Copenhagen, we are pleased to welcome healthcare professionals to attend the programme on Friday, February 27, where they will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the needs and challenges patients face.

A limited number of places may be available for patient advocates who are not ENGAGe members, subject to availability.

Strengthening Patient Representation

In addition to this seminar, two scientific sessions within the main programme have been developed by ENGAGe.

Patient voices will also be highlighted in the new Grand Rounds session format, where patients will share their personal stories, followed by presentations on up-to-date treatment options.

Furthermore, patient representatives collaborating on the latest ESGO Guidelines will be featured in all State-of-the-Art sessions, ensuring that the patient perspective is integrated throughout the congress.

Patients also have the opportunity to submit an abstract for inclusion in the scientific programme, either as a poster or an ePoster.
